Job Description:

The Global Trust and Safety Communications team at TikTok leads on initiatives to build public trust in our approach to platform safety and integrity, including our policies and moderation, product features and partnerships. The team partners closely with Trust & Safety, Product, and Public Policy colleagues along with other cross-function teams, providing strategic counsel on the development of strategies that put our community’s safety first.

We’re looking for a strategic communications professional to join our Global Trust and Safety Communications team to develop and deliver a multi-channel social media strategy for trust and safety communications. This includes collaborating closely with other leads on the team and finding opportunities to feature creators as part of our campaigns. This person will help significantly amplify our investment in trust and safety policies, products and partnerships through strategic and impactful content production and distribution. In addition, they will lead on executing high-impact media events across a range of trust and safety communications priorities, including our presence at industry events.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and delivers a global, strategic and multi-channel social media strategy for TikTok’s trust and safety communications that amplifies and educates on TikTok’s work to protect its platform and community in order to build public trust
  • Designs and delivers industry-leading media events that enable in-person or virtual trust and safety story-telling by our spokespeople, finding innovative ways to engage key audiences with new safety policies, products and partnerships
  • Produces high-quality assets, such as videos and other visual assets, in support of the team’s trust and safety campaigns, including for social and events
  • Coordinates and supports our presence at industry events
  • Works collaboratively with Trust and Safety, Product, Marketing, Legal, Public Policy, and other teams to provide communications counsel and support.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of crafting and delivering social media strategies
  • Experience of developing and delivering high-impact events
  • Strong media judgement
  • A self-starter who is motivated, takes initiative, and works well in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with short deadlines
  • Content production skills, including short-form video

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of working on trust and safety issues
  • Experience developing proactive social campaigns on a global scale
  • Able to respond to and collaborate on a range of situations with empathy and a people-first mindset
