Job Description:

We are seeking a car enthusiast to serve as a Tradeshow & Events Manager. The role will plan, execute and attend tradeshow appearances and corporate events including XPEL’s annual dealer conference (please reference the following web page to view the 2020 XPEL Dealer Conference re-cap video https://www.xpel.com/dealer-conference ). Most tradeshow and event appearances will be affiliated with the automotive industry. The ideal candidate must be passionate and knowledgeable about cars and will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of key XPEL product lines including Paint Protection Film, Window Tint and Ceramic Coating. To a lesser extent, but with opportunity for growth in the future, the Tradeshow & Events Manager will also identify opportunities and plan events targeted at the watercraft and home and office window film segments. As this position evolves there will be an opportunity to build out a support staff to assist with event planning, coordination and execution. Most importantly, the Tradeshow & Event Specialist must demonstrate proficiency in interacting and conversing with tradeshow attendees which include direct consumers and XPEL authorized dealers and installers.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Research and identify strategic tradeshows and events that will help grow XPEL’s brand awareness and drive sales
  • Create event budgets, timelines, run of shows and post-event follow-ups and debriefings
  • Organize, and create schedules for XPEL team members to attend and represent XPEL on the tradeshow floor
  • Work directly with tradeshow and event management teams to secure “booth space” and tradeshow sponsorships as appropriate
  • Coordinate with local XPEL authorized dealers and installers to secure ‘show cars’ for tradeshow booths that might require product demonstrations
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to design, build and install tradeshow booths
  • Act as an on-site point of contact at events including overseeing deliveries and transportation of supplies, attendee check-in and organization of on-site details
  • Research and suggest venues, and negotiate details for corporate and customer events
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager to find engaging and relevant speakers for events as needed
  • Prepare post event analysis for each event, incorporating feedback and improvement recommendations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tradeshow and event planning and organization experience.
  • Must demonstrate affinity for, and knowledge of, automobiles and the automotive industry
  • Project management expertise
  • BS/BA in Marketing, communications, or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and integrate with geographically dispersed points of contact
  • Self-starter and independent judgement with financial oversight of event budget(s)
  • Strong problem-solving ability with prioritization and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 50% both national and international scope (
