Sumo Logic is seeking a high energy, motivated self-starter with experience in a start-up environment to support our growing corporate tradeshow and events team. In this role you’ll bring diverse experience in end-to-end event planning from strategy to execution to successfully support the goals and objectives of the marketing team. The person in this role will have exceptional project management skills, the ability to wear many hats, and have deep knowledge in event planning and logistics while managing multiple projects and initiatives. You are able to support efforts at all levels of the organization with a collaborative approach and build solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You are well versed in budget management and event analysis to determine outcomes of our initiatives including but not limited to, lead generation, pipeline acceleration, customer feedback and ROI. You are an advocate for the customer and have a passion for creating and building memorable event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with event marketing lead to develop third party event strategy, goals and objectives for the calendar year
  • Track, measure and analyze impact and outcomes of third-party corporate events including follow up with sales and marketing teams
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to support both proprietary and third-party events
  • Build internal communication plans to provide exposure and expectations of event deliverables
  • Create and manage timelines and deliverables
  • Responsible for budget management and invoice reconciliation
  • Prepare staffing schedule, secure room block’s and train sales staff as needed for third party event success
  • Work closely with product and brand teams on messaging, appropriate demos and overall brand look and feel
  • Lead RFP process for third party vendor selection including exhibit house/decorator, hotel/convention center, catering etc., to support events
  • Support team onsite to ensure a great customer and prospect experience
  • Lead and/or support internal proprietary corporate events such as user conference and SKO
  • This position requires travel (approx. 30%) and the ability to lift 25+ pounds

Skill Set

  • 7-10 years of experience managing large corporate tradeshows and events
  • Ability to maneuver in fast pace environment
