Sr. Global Events Manager – Palo Alto Networks

Job Description:

We are looking for a confident Sr. Global Events Manager who is passionate about re-defining events in this ever-changing environment, with a focus on innovation and delivery of attendee experiences as guiding principles. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Palo Alto Networks sponsorships and participation at our most critical events. Events may include hospitality and sporting activities, proprietary events, CxO-focused bespoke programs, 3rd party trade shows, and other corporate events as needed.

This impact driven leader is responsible for working cross-functionally across Palo Alto Networks. You will partner with product marketing, PR, sales, demand gen, executive stakeholders, corporate communications and our go to market business units to amplify our company initiatives, campaigns, brand and event pipeline goals.

Your Impact

  • Manage the execution of our sponsorship and participation at critical events influencing the Cybersecurity industry
  • Look for ways to amplify our sponsorship “beyond the booth” to attract net new logos and engage with new audiences
  • Plan ancillary and adjacent activities to surround our events and ensure that Palo Alto Networks shows up like the leader in Cybersecurity
  • Lead the planning of the awareness and amplification efforts around our events, including partnering with social media team, and demand generation to ensure our target audiences know where they can engage with PANW experts
  • Research and understand personas for each event type to maximize impact
  • Develop the audience acquisition strategy in partnership with the Demand Generation and Field Marketing teams to drive high registration of the right target personas
  • Deliver exceptional attendee experiences which drive engagement, attendance, participation and post-event follow-up response
  • Work closely with Go To Market (GTM) partners and cross-functional marketing teams to develop repeatable content, tools, systems, processes and guidelines to drive scale and impact
  • Partner closely with the broader marketing teams to ensure there is consistency of messaging across all aspects of events
  • Maintain a budget for our events and closely track spend against targets
  • Set success criteria, measure and report out the impact of each major event on awareness, engagement and pipeline acceleration metrics
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships to ensure involvement and input on event strategy from product, customer success, and sales

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 8+ years delivering successful event experiences, virtual/hybrid event experience required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills
  • Creative, collaborative, and resourceful
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Data-driven mindset focused on setting and measuring KPIs and pipeline metrics
  • Knowledge and experience with online event platforms and tools (reg/web/mobile) for digital, live-streamed and in-person events
  • Experience working in both digital and in-person event environments, with in-depth knowledge in managing internal and external production teams
  • Experience working in an integrated marketing/demand gen organization
  • Positive and motivated self-starter
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent budget and financial prowess

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $126,200/yr to $204,050/yr.
