Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced events marketing professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and has a passion for diving deep into the full event lifecycle; driving strategy, execution, and post event analysis of AWS led events.

As an Event Marketing Manager within AWS Strategic Industries, you will develop bar-raising content; drive the strategy and execution of the demand generation campaign; work with vendors to produce world-class online and offline events; and dive deep into post campaign analysis to ensure all activities are delivering against predefined targets. This role will collaborate with stakeholders from across all business units to ensure the breadth and depth of AWS services and communities are reflected in event content.

The Event Marketing Manager will be the primary owner for driving the success of all such events and also be responsible for communicating progress at various levels in the organization. The Event Marketing Manager will help to establish measurable best practices for growing the program towards achievement of goals, set up scalable processes and develop methods for automation to improve overall efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring a sharp analytical mind, have strong program management skills, be able to influence senior stakeholders across the organization and roll up his/her sleeves to get things done. He/she has to have a customer-oriented mindset and must have a strong track record in building scalable marketing/promotional programs across multiple channels

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Ownership of the Events program for Strategic Industries. This person will be responsible for marketing and program management of all big sale and smaller topical events across Strategic Industries
  • Long term planning and development of strategy for the Events program
  • Own and develop a high bar of customer experience for all events in the organization
  • Develop go to market strategies including key propositions and constructs for each event
  • End to end program management to ensure smooth execution
  • Developing and executing new ideas for driving engagement goals
  • Building robust processes for smooth execution of the events calendar
  • Liaising with senior internal stakeholders to develop timely inputs, set-up processes across other functions of the organization to maintain a high bar on quality execution
  • Partnering with internal brand and digital marketing teams to plan, develop, execute and analyze marketing campaigns across online and offline channels.
  • Compile, analyze, and present performance metrics and enlighten potential opportunities for program growth
  • Establishing guidelines and best practices across teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in marketing for a B2B technology company or agency
  • 5+ years of experience developing and coordinating large scale events (offline and/or online)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in field marketing within Enterprise IT marketing experience
  • Experience working in rapid growth companies and industries
  • stakeholder engagement experience (internal and external) with the ability to influence
  • understanding of lead management and sales funnel management
  • Team player, but ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Able to operate successfully in a rapidly changing, ambiguous, and undefined environment
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge about cloud computing market and technologies
  • Skill to use BI tools, Salesforce, Marketo and other digital marketing tools
