Assist the Government in strategic integration to counter WMD in support of CCMDs drive synergies to services and CCMDS. SPA provides expertise across the full range of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) WMD, Counter Improvised Threat and Countering Threat Network technologies to support understanding, detection, identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling, defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and civilian operations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for planning and organizing complex DOD classified in-person or virtual conferences or special events. Coordinates all amenities and accommodations including site selection, escorts, food/drinks, transportation, and audiovisual equipment. Develops materials in support of events to include timelines, agendas, biographies, programs, and handouts. Works with protocol officers to ensure proper customs and courtesies are afforded participants. Supervises junior contractor employees working for the same business entity. Works directly with Government counterpart to sequence and plan multiple events throughout the year with special attention to conflict resolution and monitoring master calendars for opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree
  • 10 years of event planning and event programs, at least 5 with the DOD
  • Demonstrated experience at all aspects of event planning and execution, with national and international venues
  • Knowledge of DOD
  • DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • TS/SCI
  • MS or MA
  • More than 10 years of event planning in the DOD
