Job Description:

As a Sr. Event Marketing Manager (L6), you will be responsible for owning the strategy and execution of our US-based industry events and tradeshows, hosted events, and consumer awareness events for the GTM team covering Amazon One, Just Walk Out technology, and Amazon Dash Cart. You will partner closely with Product Marketing, Business Development, Product/Tech, PR, creative agencies and business leaders. You will create and drive awareness, adoption, and usage of portfolio through innovative and effective programs, including face-to-face events and tradeshows, lead generation programs and promotions.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute US-based third-party tradeshow strategy
  • Support global event efforts as applicable
  • Own event management for hosted events
  • Manage go-to-market event plans, including key proposals and execution plans
  • Compile, analyze, and present performance metrics and enlighten potential opportunities for program growth
  • Establish guidelines and best practices across teams, contributing to event calendar, stakeholder communications, standard operating procedures (SOP), vendor lists, and documentation of mechanisms
  • Write, contribute to, and present strategy docs to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Attend in-person events

Basic Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of relevant work experience in event marketing, including tradeshow management. Experience in marketing technology products or services preferred
  • 5+ years of experience producing and scaling small to medium events
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study
  • Demonstrated success in event management, product management, and/or project management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • History of successful budget management
  • A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously, and work across time zones
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data to make business recommendations
  • Strong bias for action: can manage multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exhibits ability to stay calm under pressure; resilient to set-backs
  • Pivots easily from generating big, creative ideas to executing and driving process improvement
  • Proven ability to influence without authority
  • Partners effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and make decisions autonomously
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • History of managing calendar for events with multiple events running simultaneous

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing B2B events in finance, technology, or procurement
  • Experience working in rapid growth companies and industries
  • Event industry-related certifications
  • Proven experience working with Salesforce, Marketo, Pardot, or similar digital marketing tools
