Job Description:

As a Sr. Event Marketing Manager, you will use your experience and vision to establish events strategies for owned (1P) global events as well as industry (3P) events that attract and engage our B2B (business to business) and developer audiences. You must bring the creativity and agility required to differentiate Alexa in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. This role operates cross-functionally with key stakeholders such as our internal marketing, business development, PR, product, and legal teams.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Define program goals and objectives
  • Manage budgets and timelines
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders including leadership
  • Think strategically, but stay on top of tactical details
  • Oversee external vendor and venue relationships
  • Deliver frequent presentation to leadership including new proposals, program reviews, post-event evaluations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in event management and event marketing
  • Demonstrated success in event management and project management with a focus on operational excellence
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • A willingness to travel (as needed)
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously

  • Demonstrable history of defining event strategy and executional excellence
  • Strategic thinker who can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics and then execute on those plans – Excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate recommendations and trade-offs to senior executives
  • Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
  • Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
