Responsibilities

  • Have in-depth understanding of experiential events with strong event planning skills. Must have the ability to tie back specific business goals, strategies and customer expectations.
  • Ability to efficiently deliver events on time and within budget
  • Development, planning and execution of events from initial concept through execution
  • Ability to drive projects, manage vendor engagements and coordinate and supervise full event activation
  • Support the investigation, selection, negotiation and management of services with vendors including event management, booth design, catering, staffing and general event support
  • When required, researches available venues and recommends event sites
  • When required, arranges event space, hotels, equipment rental and delivery, setup and dismantling of event
  • Engages with event partners and vendors to ensure communicative and seamless execution of activation
  • Proposes and tracks budgets, forecasts and compiles summaries of total event costs, audience profiles, attendee feedback and event ROI
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during planning & execution using creativity, good judgment and grace
  • Ability to accurately reconcile each event including budgeting, POP/POS, pipe-line measurement, etc.
  • Uses creativity to ideate with team to identify opportunities to maximize impact, surprise and delight for all attendees

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of experience or 5-7 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Trade show experience to include booth design, drayage, catering, promotional support and staffing
  • Excellent organization skills and solid structured project management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, manage budgets and deliver results.
  • Experience in hosting virtual events using Zoom as a platform, creating a ROS (run of show) and understanding the digital assets and technology needed to create interactive virtual experiences.

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity of using registration platforms: Aventri, CVENT, etc. to effectively run reports and manage the attendee communication experience.
  • Familiarity/working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite programs or other creative software.
  • Understanding of Dell Technologies business priorities, strategy and direction.
