Job Description:

Gartner is searching for a Senior Content Planner to work on Gartner’s global corporate conferences. Responsible for partnering across teams and ensuring successful content delivery to our internal and external clients. This role includes a close partnership with the Corporate Events & Incentives team. A successful candidate will thrive in a quick moving environment with strong attention-to-detail.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure first class execution of agenda delivery for internal and external clients while working as part of the global content team
  • Communication and collaboration across conference teams to ensure seamless delivery of first-class conferences
  • Work closely with Sales Leaders, Conferences Operations and Program Management team to provide feedback, deadline expectations and agenda guidelines
  • Facilitate smooth partnership in planning prominent internal meetings including sales kickoff meeting, midyear sales leadership meetings and other internal meetings
  • Develop and roll out new processes for session management and agenda guidelines
  • Be a key member of the global conference content team – build effective relationships with peers in all regions, take and share best practices to continuously raise the level of our conferences across the world
  • Actively participate in the process of improving conference features, technology tools, programs and encourage attendee feedback
  • Constantly evaluate the experience, feedback and results and implement changes accordingly. Contribute to detailed post-conference analysis reports and conference debriefs for review with management/other team members
  • Effective project management including creation, ownership and adherence to timelines and templates
  • Partner with the logistics team on capacity planning, projection models, and room placement
  • Respond to internal or external questions and problems accordingly both pre-conference, onsite or virtually
  • Manage onsite or virtual content execution to include room monitor management, capacity management, session scanning and feedback.
  • Lead peers through timelines and related activities in support of global corporate events
  • Adhere to expense management practices
  • Prioritize critical technology related support activities with business unit partners on behalf of the content team

Virtual Conferences

  • Partner in planning, organizing, and executing the virtual conference agenda (Including but not limited to agenda configuration within digital platforms, session capacity monitoring, report management, feedback setup and management, and live session monitoring during the conference)

In-person Conferences

  • Plan, organize, and execute on content team related elements with guidance from Conference Manager from initial stages of development, through onsite and conference wrap-up. (Including but not limited to capacity management, agenda configuration and management for web and mobile platforms, and support staff management)
  • Travel to conference destination(s) while managing on-time delivery of role responsibilities

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years business meeting planning experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Project management experience on detailed projects with multiple variables and dependencies
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven experience in managing partners and or projects across cross functional teams
  • Developing training materials and conducting trainings for supporting partners
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills especially with senior level professionals, cross-functionally and with agency partners
