Workplace Management and Solutions professionals provide space and service support solutions for all Accenture people and businesses globally, running Accenture’s workplace as a robust business function leveraging Accenture’s business and technology strategies.

The Senior Meetings & Events Planner will operate independently to plan and execute meetings & events onsite for Accenture’s NY Corporate Office. They will coordinate event delivery across all Workplace departments, communicating with the appropriate stakeholders, and ensuring quality assurance. All office interactions are expected to be conducted with a high degree of hospitality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinates services for events, such as setup, facilities, communicating catering and AV needs, wayfinding, special needs/assistance requirements, printing, security and parking
  • Works closely with reception, local technology, and other workplace departments to ensure quality service leading up to, on event day, and following
  • Support execution of delivery in line with the overall strategy
  • Use technology to manage the planning processes for meeting, including meeting registrations, approvals, budget and actual spend, calendars, meeting logistics, attendee registrations etc.
  • Ensure support for assigned events and completion of procurement processes like deposits, purchase orders, billing and final reconciliation
  • Establish relationships with internal (cross-functional) groups to ensure consistent delivery of service and resolve all escalations related to meetings or events appropriately
  • Establish standard terms and conditions for services providers, benchmark rates and programs and adjust processes or sourced arrangements as appropriate
  • Create event portfolio to show space set up options and other event options to customers upfront
  • Manage relationships and contracts with service providers to deliver value-added services and competitive costs
  • Identify and screen potential new suppliers and services and manage the process cost effectively
  • Keep knowledge base updated on supplier and sourcing trends and apply new approaches as appropriate
  • Monitor and manage compliance with existing policy and recommend changes to align with changing business needs
  • Provides support to communicate policy to Accenture personnel and external suppliers
  • Comfortable assisting with any workplace position and showcasing a willingness to help wherever needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role and/or meeting planning experience in a hospitality or professional setting

Preferred Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of food & beverage industry trends, and dietary restrictions,
  • Experience with a network of catering vendors
  • Knowledge of reservation management system
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable with technology (advanced skills a plus)
  • College degree preferred
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Certification preferred
