Job Description:

As Senior Manager of Marketing Events, you’ll oversee and lead the development of all marketing events, including tradeshows, hospitality, industry conferences, and pipeline development events to drive brand awareness, member engagement, leads, sales, and retention.

What You’ll Be Doing as Part of Our Team

  • Responsible for ensuring net positive revenue growth from events including net new, upsell, and professional services.
  • Work as a project manager across functional groups to build an event marketing and sales plan aimed at brand recognition, maximizing lead, and sales generation.
  • Manage demand from cross-functional teams in attendance, including planning and execution; logistics and travel arrangements, inventory and assets; timelines and presentation; meeting targets, lead generation, bookings goals and go-to-market launches.
  • Negotiate and secure events-related sponsorships, media placements, promotional product deals, and direct-mail campaigns.
  • Generate and execute new concepts for in-person and online experiences that attract prospects and guide them through the buyer journey, and that foster brand loyalty for Members.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of event specialists to support events with an emphasis on career development and ensure alignment with company values.
  • Regularly present to Senior Management Team on plans and results of high-value on-site events.
  • Allocate, track, and manage annual marketing events budget, ensuring initiatives are sufficiently funded while keeping the overall marketing events program within its defined budget.
  • Lead logistics for annual Revenue Kick Off for the revenue org to help align the sales team to the strategic direction of the business for the coming calendar year.

Ascend:

Lead, plan, and execute WebPT’s annual industry conference. Responsible for event from concept to completion including:

  • Venue research, securement and contracting
  • Manage vendors, including venues, catering, audio-visual, etc., and negotiating and securing contracts.
  • Content and agenda curation and management of speakers and presenters.
  • Provide support to, and communicate with attendees before, during, and after the event including management of Ascend website and ticket sales.
  • Manage event marketing and promotion strategy including internal communications and event collateral for sales and success enablement.
  • Oversee and serve as point person for on-site event logistics from set-up through post-event wrap-up.
  • Recruit, manage, and cultivate event sponsors.
  • Provide tracking, reporting, and analysis of marketing events results to senior management.

What You Should Have To Qualify

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadline
  • Excellent project management skill set
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work in a highly matrixed and cross functional organization
  • Ability and willingness to travel to events as needed
  • Degree in events management, marketing, business, or a related program
  • 7+ years of experience planning and/or managing events
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Relevant managerial or leadership experience
  • Strong management of third-party relationships
  • General breadth of knowledge across the entire marketing spectrum

Ideally, You Would Also Have These

  • Experience working in a B2B and/or SaaS environment
  • Experience using event management software and marketing automation platforms

The initial hiring range for this position is:

$76,500 – $99,500
