In this role, you will lead the events activation team in North America. You will be in charge of developing innovative omni-channel strategies to increase awareness and engagement of eBay’s focus categories and enthusiast communities. You will work to define North America’s events strategy, develop experience design principles and an activation plan in partnership with the business unit.

This candidate must be strategic, flourish in ambiguity, understand how to execute effectively and be able to complete sophisticated tasks and projects quickly. They should be able to respond with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take action without having to know the complete picture.

  • Articulate a compelling vision and strategy addressing key seasonal and sponsorship opportunities coordinated around relevant events and strategic partnerships.
  • Develops and implements Focus Category Events calendar in coordination with Merchandising, Operation and Marketing and that achieve key performance indicators and outcomes
  • Analyze and evaluate initiatives to determine priorities by forecasting performance, efficiency and resources consumed.
  • Coordinates, manages and optimizes event activation marketing spend and budget to ensure effective use of resources
  • Influence and collaborate across multiple internal functions, brand, marketing, product, PR, to present a cohesive, consistent and effective message


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of proven experience in event management and event marketing
  • Demonstrated success in event management and project management with a focus on operational excellence
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • A willingness to travel (as needed)
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
