Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager / Director of Events Marketing to oversee the planning and execution of a diverse range of conferences, internal and external corporate events. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our B2B marketing strategy. This position requires a proven track record of success in developing and implementing comprehensive strategy, planning, scheduling, and coordinated event planning that drives business growth.

The Role:

  • Own all event strategy, calendar, ideation, budgeting, timelines, and logistics for various events
  • Lead and own events of all sizes such as conferences, trade shows, workshops, internal events, VIP dinners, roadshows, and curated specialty events
  • Conceptualize events as key marketing initiatives designed to cultivate measurable leads and fortify key relationships with multiple target audiences
  • Manage annual budget, logistics, and budget for each event, track project schedules, deadlines, agendas, and flows, as well as negotiate with and manage vendors (booth setup, giveaways, collateral, registration, travel, etc)
  • Lead cross-functional work with marketing, operations, sales, and customer success to create an effective year long strategy and plan
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute comprehensive event strategies to amplify our brand, drive demand, and accelerate sales opportunities.
  • Develop and manage Luminate’s presence at key conferences, with a focus on creating engaging and unique experiences
  • Identify and secure suitable venues, negotiate contracts, and oversee all aspects of venue logistics
  • Design engaging event agendas and select and manage the booking process for relevant speakers, presenters, and entertainment
  • Create marketing plans, manage promotional campaigns, and leverage digital and traditional marketing channels to maximize event attendance and reach
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and sponsors to enhance event quality and value
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure events meet or exceed client and attendee expectations
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and wrap-up, deliver clean lists of qualified leads, and ensure a smooth handover to sales
  • Additional responsibilities may include assistance at other special and owned events and events research

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of hands on experience in B2B events that drive marketing initiatives and business growth
  • A well-rounded event marketer versed in building and deploying event plans, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self starter with a proactive and hands on mindset
  • A highly results-oriented approach, with motivation to meet and exceed objectives
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Easily able to adapt to change
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and make quick, strategic decisions
  • Experience working in a similar position in entertainment or tech is a huge advantage
  • Ability to travel as needed within the US, as well as some international travel when required

Our base salary range for this position is $108,000 – 140,000. We consider your skills and experience, what similar jobs pay at companies of our size, and ensure fair pay among colleagues. Final base salary offer amounts are determined by factors including your experience and expertise. In addition we are proud to offer additional perks and benefits that contribute and complete our total compensation package. Luminate reserves the right to change our compensation bands at any time.
