Job Description:
Purolite, an Ecolab company, is seeking candidates for a Senior Events Manager within the Purolite Marketing Communications team. This person will develop the vision for internal events, driving content strategy and development across the enterprise, as well as guide division strategy for external events. This role reports to the Director of Purolite Global Marketing Communications.
Main Responsibilities
The Senior Events Manager will work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment that is tied closely to colleagues in experiential events, global brand, marketing, and communications:
- Work directly with the Purolite Senior Leadership Team to develop the strategy and vision of events that define the right opportunity to achieve the agreed upon goals and objectives.
- Lead discussions with multi-disciplinary teams to align on intended business impact, experiential strategy, audience targets, and success metrics for internal activities and events; including global and regional sales meetings, and leadership strategy meetings.
- Ability to execute on the strategy, bringing it to life by storytelling and crafting initial drafts of outlines through event execution and presentation management – all of which illustrate insights and informed project direction.
- Present vision and ideas back to teams, telling a concise and compelling story to explain the event strategy and approach.
- Expertly set agenda, drive stakeholder meetings and executive reviews with ability to continue to drive content development throughout the production.
- Partner with Senior Leadership and Marketing Communications Team while navigating a matrixed organization.
- Responsible for the development of content briefs, scripting, and deck development and management.
- Understands how large, global companies are winning at engaging employees and top customers as well as creating communication continuity across functions and disciplines.
- Develop diverse approaches to solving a given problem and ability to communicate ideas with clarity, confidence and iterate on feedback quickly.
- Lead workstreams to create and execute event deliveries including being able to identify and mitigate issues /barriers to success for the team.
- Partner with Global MarComm director to set event strategy for trade shows, customer events and external engagements.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, English or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in digital or integrated agency or consultancy
- Excellent written communication skills with strong creative brief development experience
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize quickly
- Have worked in a progressive, creatively driven environment that has embraced digital-led thinking and experiential strategy & design.
- Has advanced knowledge of and experience in experiential production and execution in the virtual and live-event space.
- Ability to successfully navigate a matrixed organization.

- You are a facilitator and fantastic listener who is good at helping people reframe their needs in new and insightful ways while managing through ambiguity or complex business topics
- Excellent time management, and organizational skills with strong attention for detail, accuracy, and consistency
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills balanced with vision and creativity
- Experience working cross-functionally with key business leaders at all seniority levels within an organization with a focus on c-suite and general management
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
