Job Description:
Davies US is looking for a Senior Event Planner that will plan, coordinate, and facilitate an ambitious pipeline of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events to increase brand awareness and ensure Davies maximizes the return on events and conference investments in the U.S. You will attend and assist in running a range of industry events and conferences planned every year to help Davies grow and raise the profile of the business and its offering. Reporting to the Group Communications Director, you will work closely with business heads and the business development team to plan and develop an events schedule across the U.S. You will also build relationships with industry bodies and liaise with the wider marketing team to deliver impactful promotional campaigns in conjunction with every event, conduct event sponsorship research and reviewing contracts and invoices. You will be required to work in a hybrid role between being in the Nashville, TN office and working remote from home as well as be able to travel on occasion, in state and out of state.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee the planning and execution of virtual, hybrid and in-person events
- Coordinate with internal staff, clients, and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as liaison to senior executives, vendors, and industry leaders throughout the planning process
- Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials
- Assemble creative and innovative event attractions
- Plan, oversee, and report on event spend/costs
- Manage show kits and arrival dates for materials such as show merchandise, booth set up and tear down or show floor schedules
- Collaborate with the content management team to develop sales collateral & marketing campaigns
- Organize off-site events for client meetings, dinners and other relationship building opportunities
- Deliver event evaluation, lessons learned, and ROI tracking
- Train, supervise, and work with event staff to solicit and book banquet and catering functions as well as the planning, merchandising, and execution of the functions
- Oversee client experiences from conception through post-event review
- Manage on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases
- Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event day
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a Senior Level role in an event environment
- 2 – 3 years of prior Junior Level event environment experience
- Previous experience working with and closely managing vendors
- Experience with marketing campaign tactics
- Prior experience with marketing automation platforms is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Essential Requirements
- Must have US work rights
- Local to Nashville, TN, or surrounding areas
- Must be willing to travel up to 15% and be on-site for events when needed, which may overlap with weekends at times
