Job Description:


The Senior Event Marketing Manager helps generate demand for our products, build awareness for our brand, and engage customers through creative event marketing concepts for key high-profile activations. They also take on the role of mentor and key leader on the team. They manage the strategic development of events as well as lead special projects that drive awareness and influence revenue.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage key events, including coordination and execution of guerilla marketing tactics as well as traditional promotional events and sponsorships.
  • Coordinate event environment (signage, branding etc.) and manage the execution of events onsite.
  • Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and priorities on event programs.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Trouble shoot and smooth out issues related to the successful execution of the event program.
  • Provide post event analysis, budget recaps, internal and client feedback and incorporate learning into future event plans.
  • Ensure our event presence is on strategy and consistent.
  • Develop strong event themes and creative activations that drive ROI and engagement.
  • Manage key department projects / initiatives with little to no supervision.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship and activities with external vendors and event partners.
  • Negotiate agreements with vendors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service.
  • Source and manage promotional items for key marketing initiatives.
  • Determine fiscal requirements of individual activations and manage budgets including collection of receipts and reporting.
  • Conduct research and identify new event opportunities for the company as well as research on potential event sponsorships.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ marketing experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of event management including event planning, execution and marketing.
  • Experience coordinating comprehensive event marketing plans, including pre-event communications, at-event experience and post-event communication plans.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint as well as flexibility with similar alternative programs.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills with a background in event management.
  • Ability to perform well in a team environment and manage multiple deadline-driven projects.
  • Willingness to roll up his/her sleeves to get the work done or go the extra mile. Strong personal work ethic.
  • Flexible personality and quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to self-manage in most cases.
  • Ability to develop strong networks and build credibility within the organization.
  • Must be flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to process a vast amount of information and understand and prioritize competing business needs.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and vendors at all levels to meet business goals.
  • Proven ability to take direction and input to develop effective and engaging branded events that will achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong decision-making skills in an often-ambiguous environment with ability to deliver difficult messages to key stakeholders.
  • Experience working with a technology and/or B2B company is a plus.
  • Experience working with Splash! and any event certifications (CMP or CSEP) are a plus.

Base Salary: $95,000- $120,000
