Job Description:

Nuveen seeks an AVP, Senior Events Manager to support its events team. Reporting to the VP, Head of Event Management, the AVP will lead end-to-end program management for Nuveen events with a focus on institutional and multi-channel client events. The AVP will work to enhance efficiencies and elevate the client experience while adhering to best practices and brand standards. This is a client-facing role that’s viewed by the business as a trusted partner who demonstrates innovative thinking and effective program and events management.

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end management for all event logistics including planning, sourcing and selection, pre-event communications, travel and onsite execution, event flow, and follow-up activities post-event
  • Work with travel agency to schedule hotel and airfare reservations
  • Create invitations through CVENT and manage registrations throughout the event lifecycle
  • Promptly respond to attendee calls and emails, providing excellent, personalized client service
  • Travel is required for this role – provide onsite support and assist with ad hoc requests and administration
  • Coordinate and collaborate with marketing teams on event deliverables, marketing materials and giveaways
  • Create and compile post event surveys
  • Process timely expense reimbursement for event related charges, track program budgets, provide reporting
  • Build relationships with colleagues across channels to promote “One Team” values
  • Build presentations; report on events program performance
  • Provide backup support for all events as part of the team

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BA degree required
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in event management, understands new events trends
  • Intermediate understanding of concepts and principles of leading effective integrated events program
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Cvent Experience, conference planning experience and experience with travel management
  • Must have process and project experience, including the ability to execute flawlessly and meet all deadlines
  • Maintain strong customer service skills, approaching work with a friendly, energetic, approachable, motivated and calm demeanor at all times
  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with A/V for events and PowerPoint
