data.ai is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced event manager, with a “can-do” attitude, responsible for leading events and experiential projects hosted in America as well as a few in other regions, sharing also best practices with our regional teams to level up their own events to a high standard. Events play a huge part in the success of our organization, in enhancing its image as well as in its engagement with prospects and customers. You will be part of the Global Marketing team, wear our Customer Obsession hat with pride and will be responsible for creating high-quality events that will help drive pipeline and revenue for our marketing & sales teams. You’ll work on a variety of projects, including tradeshows, VIP events, Top Customer events, workshops, dinners…
As a Senior Event manager, you’ll help build an event plan, suggesting which must-have events/tradeshows in each of our verticals (Gaming, Retail, Media & Entertainment) we should be present and visible in to attract new key prospects. You’ll constantly review this list (on a monthly/quarterly basis) to suggest, plan and organize events that should take place in the 3 to 12 months ahead.
You’ll ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints, while successfully engaging our audience. You’ll also manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. This role would include a good range of marketing and project management activities, requiring both hands-on and analytic/planning skills and will involve working as part of a team. Depending on the kind of event you’re working on, you’ll need prior and during the event to travel, in America mainly, and sometimes abroad.
Responsibilities
- Plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, event’s objectives and KPIs
- Managing multiple events, simultaneously
- Research opportunities for new clients and events.
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers (booking of the venue, catering, booth,…)
- Coordinate all promotional/logistics operations
- Manage and coordinate suppliers and all the event logistics (for the venue, booth, catering, travel, speaking opportunities, sales meetings planning, hostesses, waiters…) and supervise on the day all staff
- Lead promotional activities for the event (email invitations, advertising…)
- Lead gen tracking & follow-up, post-mortem
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicize and promote the event
- Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Come up during the project with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
- Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
- Ensure the event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
- Produce event evaluation forms
- Analyze the event’s success and produce post-mortem reports

- 6-8 years of Proven experience as an event manager
- Skilled in project management
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
- Time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure to ensure the efficient running of an event
- Outstanding communicator and negotiator
- Strong multi-tasker with experience in juggling numerous projects and deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills and diplomacy
- A flexible, target-driven, proactive approach
- A team player with leadership skills
- BA or master in communication, marketing, business, event management, or related field is preferred
