Job Description:

The AWS Leadership Engagement Advancement Program Events Team (LEAP Events Team) is reinventing how we recruit at AWS/Amazon. Recruiting the right leaders and senior talent for AWS is critical to our ability to innovate and build on behalf of customers. The AWS LEAP Events Team is seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and inventive Sr. Program Manager to help define the future of diversity, equity and inclusion in talent acquisition.

As the search for talent becomes more competitive, we are bringing together recruiting, science, tech, programs, and process teams to find and hire candidates who raise the bar more quickly and efficiently in a more inclusive as well as engaging process. This is a centralized team that works across multiple AWS business lanes with unique access to various tools, process owners, resources and new recruiting technologies that are designed to enhance a recruiter’s capabilities. And being centralized we offer choice of team’s candidates want to work with as well as executive sponsorship to drive adoption.

This specialized Diversity, Equity & Inclusion division under the LEAP Events team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager who is skilled at program management and is especially passionate for engaging and advocating for diverse talent. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on multiple projects and programs in a fast-paced, high-energy, global environment with a high degree of ambiguity. They will have a track record of program management, leading from conception and design through to implementation, delivery, measurement and continuous improvement. This role will require a high degree of program planning, event marketing, communications expertise, project management and collaboration skills.

The successful candidate has high judgment and thrives in an ambiguous environment. They can develop, implement and iterate processes and mechanisms to improve the way we engage with our partners and customers. They are able to set clear strategic direction, influence leaders at all levels and drive program performance. They also have a passion for making a difference in the community.

Our team is uniquely positioned with a recruiting and programs arm which allows us to constantly review current state, challenge status quo by experimenting new ways and role model best in class diversity, equity and inclusive recruiting practices. We lead the way by partnering with all recruiters and RMs and help scale our practices across AWS LEAP Events Team (and in future across Amazon as a whole).
