Situation: With its retail event rapidly approaching, Dell had an unexpected staffing change and was left with an no one to handle many of the logistical items required to ensure that Dell Retail would be a success. Dell Retail is a key meeting with 100+ “high touch” clients including Best Buy and h.h. gregg; an event where a good amount of deals secured for the upcoming fiscal year.
Solution: The Event Marketing Partners team, with their years of industry experience and expertise in event logistics, took responsibility for and managed primary logistical aspects of Dell Retail including: registration, hotel accommodations, air travel confirmations/reminders, airport transfers, event food & beverages, and special events including golf and spa.
Result: With a very short ramp-up (6 weeks prior to the event) and accelerated timeline, EMP successfully integrated with Dell’s event team and partnered with its events agency to ensure that Dell Retail met the expectations of both Dell and its retail partners. By all accounts, the event was a complete success. Dell was pleased with EMP’s management of event logistics and the fact that every issue was quickly and professionally resolved.
