Situation: Ciena Vectors is a non-traditional, high-touch series of research labs where over 150 groups (2-10 current customers/prospects) come from around the world over the course of a 5-week period for an in-depth look at Ciena’s products and services. Ciena needed an events partner that could manage the myriad of event logistics required on a global scale while providing the type of detail necessary to run a highly customized series of customer-specific micro-events.
Solution: EMP engaged with each of Ciena’s customers and prospects from the first phone call through the end of their experience. EMP provided seamless travel, hotel, dining, and special needs arrangements for each attendee.
Result: Ciena met all objectives for the event including millions of dollars in revenue. The highest praise is when both the COO and EVP of Sales tell you it is the best event they have ever done and that it was seamless to them, and most importantly, their customers. In fact due to this success, they are implementing the program annually moving forward.
