The Amazon Ads Global Partner Marketing Team (internally Partner Acceleration) is seeking an enthusiastic, self-led, data-driven Partner Events Manager to plan and manage the execution of in-person and virtual global partner events that include: Amazon hosted events, key industry events, as well as partner events that are solely organized by the Partner Events Team.

The Partner Events Manager will work closely with the Partner Acceleration Team and key stakeholders to design event formats that deliver education and training to Amazon Ads partners, increase partner discoverability in front of advertisers (Amazon sellers), accelerate the demand of advertising products through partners, increase lead generation, and create networking opportunities. One important aspect of this role is to develop and manage an event operating plan, drive all work streams, and create a work back schedule to ensure all event timelines are being met.

Success in this role requires the ability to think big, influence key stakeholders, define an events strategy aligned to the business objectives, set partner-centric campaign goals and KPIs, establish clear processes, manage and prioritize multiple projects in an ambiguous environment, and write effective and concise documents as part of the Amazon culture (i.e. event strategy, operating model, post-event reports, etc.). This role requires an operational mind with an eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end planning and execution of events, including: strategic planning, event marketing, budget management, logistics & operations, internal/external communications, event tech, establishing success metrics to measure ROI
  • Work closely and collaborate with key stakeholders on event strategies and event operating plans.
  • Use pre/post event data and Voice of Partner (VOP) anecdotal feedback to craft proposals for net-new event ideas
  • Create and drive the RFP process for onboarding new vendors
  • Drive meetings, timelines, and updates for internal and external teams
  • Build processes for repeatability and scalability of events activities
  • Manage multiple event budgets and work with Amazon finance teams on PO process
  • Drive and deliver best practice documents and process improvement documents

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a marketing, comms, or business-related field
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in event management and event marketing
  • Demonstrated success in event management and program management with a focus on operational excellence
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (as needed)
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to develop a data-driven event strategy with a clear understanding of business needs
  • Some understanding of the advertising industry
  • Clear understanding of basic event KPIs and how to set relevant event goals
  • General understanding of partners in the technology industry, preferably in advertising and/or eCommerce
  • Strategic thinker who can take “Think Big” ideas and break them down to clear, achievable objectives and measurement tactics
  • Flexibility to pivot priorities or change processes midstream when needed
  • Exudes high level of ownership and comfortability dealing with ambiguity
  • Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Passion for building global programs and processes
