Job Description:

Deloitte Services LP includes internal support areas such as Marketing and Communications, Human Resources/Talent, Information Technology, Facilities Management, and Financial Support Services. This position is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Deloitte meetings with a primary focus on meetings delivered at Deloitte University as well as at external hotels and venues. These meetings require advanced meeting planning expertise and demand a significant amount of interaction and communication with senior leadership as well as clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional client service with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach
  • Forecast management and impeccable data integrity
  • Strict adherence to meeting protocols (cost saving measures, risk policies, contract approvals)
  • Liaison between meeting sponsor and sourcing/registration/DU operations/vendors/closing; understand and interpret meeting objectives and navigate through the meeting teams’ processes on behalf of meeting sponsor
  • Frequent interaction and communication with firm leadership and external clients through meeting registration and coordination
  • Rooms management to minimize financial impact to the firm in regard to meeting attrition and DU utilization
  • Serve as single point of contact for both the sponsor and the hotel/meeting venue
  • Develop, review and approve detailed specifications with hotel operations – conference services, rooms, catering, conference set up, AV, business center, accounting, IT/Communications
  • Manage contracts outside hotel provided services when required or costs can be leveraged (production, event decor, entertainment, transportation, team-building, IT, special supplies/materials, temp assistance)
  • On-site support for designated meetings to insure successful meeting execution
  • Audit and prepare invoices for processing
  • Post meeting reporting and reconciliation
  • Frequent interaction with Hotel/DMC/Hospitality Industry sales and operation professionals, supporting Deloitte’s partnerships in a professional manner.


Qualifications – External

  • Specialized knowledge in contracting, organizing and managing all logistical aspects of complex meetings; 5-10 years’ experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with a consultative style
  • Project management – ability to understand scope, create timelines and budgets, and deliver on time to budget
  • Solutions & results oriented
  • Ability to work independently, on multiple projects simultaneously and under deadlines
  • Ability to handle high volume workload and fast pace; manage stress
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service
  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
