Job Description:
Denodo is looking to grow our demand generation marketing team in North America with an experienced Event Manager to lead and oversee all national events with innovation and creativity. This individual will set the benchmark for excellence in execution and will be responsible for ensuring that events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints.
The scope of this position includes, but is not limited to, industry conferences and tradeshows, association conferences and virtual events, and technology partnership events. This individual will work closely with executive leaders to align event objectives to the company strategy, brand, purpose, and values.
Overall, event managers must possess a diverse set of skills to effectively plan and execute events. They must have a strong ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and creatively problem-solve to ensure the event is a success.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manages each event from contract stage to post event lead follow up
- Independently engages key stakeholders as well as internal and external partners throughout the event planning and execution process to identify event objectives, goals, attendee list, communications, speaker management, and other tasks as needed
- Negotiates with vendors and suppliers; Ensures the review of all contracts from third party event suppliers
- Makes key decisions related to design, content, and treatment
- Manages all event logistics
- Leads the development of campaigns and strategic marketing activity to promote participation at events
- Manage event budgets related to your responsibilities
- Has accountability for leads, meetings, pipeline, and deals from each event
- Define and execute pre-, during and post-event communications activities
- Analyzes event outcomes and prepares recommendation to determine future event investment
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 8-10 years best in class national events experience with a B2B tech company or similar
- Demonstrated success in event management and project management with a focus on operational excellence
- Knowledge of marketing KPIs to showcase the ROI of event investments
- Experience with budget management, financial tracking and contract negotiations
- Demonstrated experience with building partnerships with vendors, sponsors, and exhibitors
- Ability to develop strategy by taking broad visions and developing structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics, and then executing on those plans
- High energy, positive, professional attitude, takes pride in work product
- Creativity, high standards, persistence, and achievement-oriented
- Innovative and resourceful with a knack for problem-solving
- A team player with leadership skills; experience working across multiple teams and disciplines collaboratively and effectively

- Work location in Palo Alto, New York City, or Chicago preferred
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
Salary range between: 130,000$ and 150,000$
