Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Events Specialist to join our Motorsports team in Marietta,GA. The Motorsports Marketing Events Specialist will support the development and implementation of key event strategies, initiatives, and tactics to achieve the product group’s business goals and objectives. They will assist the Events Manager in coordinating, creating, and approving display and demo event strategies and supporting materials that facilitate brand/product awareness and increase sales among target customers and key Motorsports demographics to include potential new buyers. They will also assist the Events Manager in planning and executing key experiential and bLU cRU initiatives and activations with a primary focus on building brand “community”, advocacy, and customer retention. The Marketing Events Specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for Motorsports event partner contacts (external) as well as other product/service divisions (internal) to ensure all event marketing efforts are appropriate and consistent per product group guidance as well as corporate VI and brand direction.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and assist the event manager with the development and implementation of motorsports display/demo event strategies based on product group direction, including working with Regional Marketing Managers on dealer demo event planning and implementation. Afford interdepartmental support for the sale of branded apparel/items, display of priority accessories on units, and promotion of Yamalube products at events
- Work directly with external partners/vendors/contractors to provide direction and assist with the implementation of motorsports events, including staffing, logistics planning, hotel contract negotiations, room blocks, travel logistics, space procurement, and event calendar creation & coordination.
- Attend, assist and serve as the key point of contact at motorsports trade/consumer/demo events in support of marketing direction and strategies. Collaborate with the digital marketing team to create an offline to online customer experience to grow and enhance the Yamaha owner community and Lifetime Value.
- Coordinate and assist the events manager with the development and implementation of key experiential & bLU cRU initiatives and activations to showcase and deliver Lifetime Value to Yamaha customers
- Oversee motorsports product storage, transportation, and on-site setup via a contracted logistics partner to execute display and demo events in support of motorsports brand direction and established business goals.
- Manage, coordinate, monitor, and reconcile all events demo/display units. Coordinate unit transfer between trucks for specific events, and new model exchanges and support internal unit transfer when possible.
- Assist with tracking motorcycle consumer events budgets, marketing events budgets, invoicing, and internal billings. Monitor and report periodically on budget status to help the Events Manager ensure event spending is appropriate and in line with the product group and overall Motorsports direction.
- Coordinate and collaborate inter-departmentally as well as across other YMUS divisions to build and support Yamaha brand loyalty and foster the Motorsports culture by creating experiential employee events to grow product awareness and education.
Decision-Making Responsibilities

- Supporting, supervising, and directing display/demo event staff/partners
- Coordinating and tracking budget events
What You’ll Need
- BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar required
- 5+ years’ experience in Events Marketing and/or Communications
- Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% of the time (including weekends) and still manage in-office workload
- Able to think strategically, prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate strong time management skills with limited supervision
- Strong written, and verbal communication and presentation skills are required
- Able to work independently as well as in a team-based environment
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. MC license a plus
