Job Description:

Manages a broad range of marketing projects and special events. Plays a pivotal role in strategizing, orchestrating, and overseeing all WuXi AppTec events, encompassing both physical and virtual platforms. This role encompasses responsibilities such as negotiating agreements, handling event logistics, overseeing the design and production of event booths and sales collateral, managing lead capture initiatives, maintaining databases, and executing outbound communications. The overarching objective is to optimize every event opportunity, driving the acquisition of high-quality leads and elevating WuXi’s brand visibility. Additionally, this position is responsible to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute corporate event plan, collaborating with different BU
  • Collaborate with BD and MKT team from different BUs to integrate resource and maximize the efficiency of marketing campaigns
  • Work with BD team to develop best process to capture new leads, new opportunities, and engage existing customers, to improve customers’ satisfaction and loyalty
  • Lead, coach and develop a team.
  • Planning and executing marketing strategies for events.
  • Manage events budget. Working within a budget for events and managing spend accordingly.
  • Overseeing the promotional activities assigned to Marketing Specialists
  • Provides expertise in the development of marketing strategies in collaboration with Marketing leadership.
  • Ensures events are successful and meet the objectives set by the organization.
  • Proactively works to optimize the tracking and recording of business opportunities and progress towards KPIs.
  • This position may require travel by airplane and/or car up to 30-40% of the year This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Analyze efficiency of marketing campaigns, optimize the process to promote events before and after
  • Design processes for leads management and client engagement, before, during, and after events
  • Develop processes for branding and promotions trough events and conferences
  • Manage the day-to-day activity and performance of the team.
  • Develop corporate annual events plan, consolidate BU events plan, and coordinate with different team for execution
  • Coordinate sponsorships, booths, exhibits, and trade shows, schedule attendees.
  • Collaborate across departments to align event objectives and stakeholder interests.
  • Research and engage external support, like caterers or photographers, as needed.
  • Administer daily event logistics: order placement, budget tracking, vendor monitoring, travel coordination, attendee facilitation, registration oversight, and issue resolution.
  • Planning and hosting industry events and attending events on behalf of the company
  • Supervise and coordinate with event contractors.
  • Onsite execution of events including but not limited to: supervising and coordinating
  • Lead post-event reporting and recapping, Update reporting documents on a continuous basis.
  • Process event invoices/expenses and reconcile status with finance to ensure vendors are paid in timely manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate project/process activity and report on project or issues to leadership team.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Event or Trade Show Coordination, encompassing both in-person and virtual events.
  • Proficiency in delivering strong presentations and excellent communication skills.
  • A highly professional and polished demeanor.
  • Expertise in Office 365, with a strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Tech-savviness to adapt to various digital tools and platforms.
  • Demonstrated B2B marketing skills

  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is preferred
