For the newly-established Amazon Ads Internal Communications team, obsessing over Amazonians is at the heart of our mission to create a happy workforce through collaboration, creativity, and connection. We’re seeking an Internal Communications Manager to manage employee-facing events and content from ideation and creation to delivery and measurement. This is an exciting opportunity to make big impact across the org as you shape and scale internal communications. This role is ideal for a collaborative, creative storyteller with experience in creating content, managing communication plans and editorial calendars, and delivering internal events

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute internal events (both in-person to hybrid) for org-wide meetings, DEI heritage months, and employee engagement moments.
  • Create content for employee-facing communications, including leadership announcements, video messages, internal event scripts, presentations, newsletters, and more.
  • Experiment with new, creative ways to reach Amazonians with the news and information they care about, and drive their engagement in prioritized company initiatives.
  • Be an employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all strategies and decision-making.
  • Ensure all messaging reinforces our org vision, mission, priorities, and culture, with consistent, intentional themes threaded through all messaging.
  • Track and report communication effectiveness metrics using quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions and recommendations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral) are a must.
  • Experience creating content and managing editorial calendars.
  • Excellent project and time management skills, used to working on projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing diversity, equity and inclusion communications.
  • Experience with event management systems and managing corporate intranets.
  • Communications experience in media, internet, technology, and/or retail industries.
