The Specialist, Industry Events exudes passion and a desire to craft strong brand experiences to life at Verisk. Whether it is leading a Verisk event or conference, considering a new Verisk experience in our offices, or piloting a new experiential technology to drive business value, this individual plays a critical role in championing experiential marketing efforts for Verisk and reports to the Sr. Manager, Industry Events.
The individual should have experience in marketing experiences, whether event planning, event execution, project management, data-driven event analytics or executive communications. They will be responsible for building strong relationships with a diverse group of leaders and key stakeholders within Marketing, Sales, Facilities, Human Resources, and business teams. S/he should have strong people skills and attention to detail, be well organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role will deploy best practices in marketing and leadership, and collaborate with a team of highly-engaged, high-performing marketers.
Overall Responsibilities
- Manages the company’s enterprise-wide tradeshow participation and industry event experiential programs as the execution strategist and logistical planner supporting the event owner
- Partner with the product marketing teams to identify, create and produce a broad spectrum of experiential programs from virtual marketing activations to a suite of in-person tradeshow experiences
- Drive creative and brand strategy that results in compelling experiences that inspire audiences to connect, learn and collaborate
- Develop, lead, and execute on-brand event and experiential marketing programs globally for all Verisk audiences, partnering and working closely with stakeholders to achieve data driven outcomes
- External Experiences (Industry Events and Tradeshows)
- Provide stakeholders with a balance of vision and tactics to help them meet their target audience objectives
- Execute on skilled-level delivery and knowledge of best practices related to global event strategy, design, and execution, including large-scale in-person events and virtual events (including tradeshows, exhibit booths, sponsorships, demos, and speaking engagements)
- Plan (with strong project management skills), deliver, and analyze experiential marketing efforts
- Articulate the role and goal of digital and in-person experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related areas or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a Marketing role or similar position
- Experience in B2B – experience in software, high-tech, or performance marketing a plus
- Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, and deliver commitments in a timely fashion
