Are you passionate about science and specifically the contributions and advances made in the evolving world of genetic sciences? We are seeking a Global Events Marketing Manager to lead our major events strategy to acquire new customers, engaging with existing users and the commercial sales meeting. This is a dynamic role for a proactive and results-driven professional who will collaborate with global and regional marketing teams to execute online and offline event platforms.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience managing the overall logistics for an event. You must have great attention to detail, be well organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They are responsible for making sure pre-production, production, post-production and evaluation run smoothly at all times.

Responsibilities include leading and project managing events globally ranging from large proprietary events, industry shows, customer webinars and the annual commercial meeting. What You’ll Do

  • Be the primary project manager for the annual commercial meeting. Lead, create and manage amazing event experiences that can be implemented globally.
  • ‘The main point of contact onsite who acts as a conduit between global market development, product marketing and regional marketing leaders.
  • Arrange team meetings, document key decisions and maintain communication with divisional marketing leadership to ensure all business needs, expectations and timelines are being met.
  • Work with global and regional marketing to develop a core plan and standardized content that can be executed across all regions.
  • Manage and deploy innovative and engaging global, large-scale customer events and webinars.
  • Manage event budgets.
  • Proactively manage events and address any potential problems as they arise.

How Will You Get There

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of corporate meeting planning experience on a national scale required.
  • Strong understanding of the technology market and how events support business operations.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to execute from planning, conceptualization, design, execution and measurement
  • Experience building amazing experience events – both physical and virtual
  • Computer Skills: Macintosh OS or Windows platform using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to focus on details as well as the tactical aspects of an event.
  • Strong understanding of lead and campaign systems, marketing automation best practices and how they integrate into events.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in presenting to cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English required
