Job Description:
As the Global Events Manager, Audience Acquisition you will lead the strategy and execution of multi-channel campaigns using data-driven insights for our global events. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to think strategically, while also executing diligently, to maximize the impact of each campaign and goal attainment for programs. You will rally the sales and customer success teams to activate business and design campaigns year-round that will attract, engage and nurture audiences through different stages of the funnel.
We are searching for someone with the vision and passion to evolve and lead our experiences growth strategy, offline and online, and drive our business forward. The lead marketing strategist for our events you will oversee campaign roll-out across channels and will ensure all programs are flawlessly executed and highly effective.
The expectation is for you to not only come in and run with what’s existing, but level up what we are already doing. You will possess a willingness to experiment and an eagerness to develop and implement new processes with the aim to improve performance while pushing the boundaries of Veeam experiences. The ideal candidate will have at least six years’ experience leading B2B marketing campaigns for events with strong project management skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will partner with internal and external partners to plan and execute integrated campaigns that generate awareness, drive registrations, and nurture relationships pre and post for global events.A typical day includes understanding the key needs of our sales and customer success teams, partnering cross-functionally on campaign strategy, developing brand messaging, audience segmentation and journey, event website content, digital advertising, social media and more.
- Define and drive short- and long-term planning and goals for campaigns, partnering cross-functionally in a globally matrixed organization
- Lead relationship with sales and customer success leadership to foster partnership of trust and enable teams to meet business objectives
- Develop, manage and execute strategic, data-driven integrated campaigns for global events that attract, engage and nurture leads through different stages of the funnel while up and cross-promoting our product and solutions
- Collaborate in-house and with agency partners craft the strategy, positioning and key messages for our events and audience personas
- Ability to understand the market, develop unique insights, and translate them into detailed and concrete activation strategies partnering with our demand generation team
- Utilize analytical tools to inform and identify the best channel mix and utilization to achieve marketing KPIs and optimize ROI on campaign spend
- Oversee the campaign bill of materials and all assets (emails, banners, landing pages, microsites, and more) that includes writing concise and effective copy and partnering with our design studio to deliver creative that converts
- Manage community building and social media strategies that drive engagement, interaction, brand affinity, and improve the audience experience
- Own the analysis of campaign performance, web, and digital assets and develop reporting framework for results and KPI attainment supported by Marketing Operations
- Turn data into marketing intelligence, and help past performance lead to pipe-generating future plans
- Lead pre- and post- campaign meetings to communicate and align on planning elements with relevant stakeholders, and debrief to incorporate learnings and recommendations for future improvements
- Effectively manages associated budgets and makes budget recommendations
Qualifications
- 6+ years of B2B marketing experience with an emphasis on audience acquisition, demand generation, and sales enablement preferably on a global scale within the technology industry.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and optimize integrated multi-channel demand generation programs for events that drive the business forward including but not limited to SQO Pipeline, pricing, registration models, social, web, email and ad optimization.
- Adept at quickly understanding company messaging and branding.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of sales processes and cycles.
- Curious and data driven with the ability to measure marketing attribution and tell powerful stories across the organization through reporting and data analysis.
- Stellar copywriting skills with the ability to write concise copy where every word counts.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize own work, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Technology-savvy with desire to learn about and leverage the latest tools, tricks and techniques in lead-generating marketing activities It is essential the candidate has desire and ability to closely collaborate within a global environment and cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated experience using Marketo (or similar marketing automation platform) and Salesforce.
- Strong project management skills with a commitment to being highly organized and determined to meet deadlines. Experience with project management and collaboration tools like Asana, Smartsheet, Airtable, Monday.com, and more a plus.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate concepts and details across internal and external stakeholders at all levels in a globally matrixed organization.
- Must have the ability to travel, internationally and domestically, up to 30% of the time.
- Additional or preferred qualifications- CMP, CMM, DES certified a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience (A combination of education and experience will be considered.)
