Wipro is looking for a passionate events director who will drive Wipro’s top tier brand events and activations. The role will be a critical part of the global strategic marketing team. The right candidate will be both a strategist and tactician as they will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to create thought leadership and lead generation events that balance short-term revenue with longer term client relationships. Importantly, this person must have a knack for producing custom experiences for large events Wipro sponsors and owns, well versed in not only the live event world, but also have a strong knowledgebase of hybrid and virtual events. Wipro is looking for someone that is innovative but analytical, who is friendly and team oriented, but can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Helping drive new ways of thinking about events and experiences to ensure brand consistency, engagement and results, whether in the physical or virtual space.
  • Overseeing all aspects of events, including logistics, budgeting, vendor and partner management, content development, and working with sales to drive strategy around the event
  • Collaborating closely with executives, sales management, field sales, corporate marketing, content marketing, marketing operations and communications to create and deliver integrated field events and go-to marketing activities that tie back to Wipro’s near term and long term objectives
  • Plan and execute 3rd party events and tradeshow sponsorships with end-to-end planning & follow-up, measurement, and ROI
  • Defining marketing plans that create/accelerate opportunities and build executive relationships
  • Collaborating with the brand team to drive a consistent look and feel globally
  • Creating opportunities to measure success
  • Owning and maintaining event and overall program budgets
  • Lead internal process for success project management of full event experience
  • Leverage a firm grasp on virtual event experiences, platforms and processes to support a fully virtual or hybrid campaign
  • Develop bold, cutting-edge event strategies that are always pushing boundaries and the status quo
  • Work closely with ecosystem partners and manage sponsorship opportunities
  • Be a strong, inspiring leader to the junior members of our marketing team

Education And Required Experience (Requirements)

  • At least 10 years event marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, focus on business, marketing or communications preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A decisive, nimble, fun, inspiring &and driven character
  • Proven track record of successfully partnering with sales management
  • Experience working with multiple territories, multiple priorities, and multiple projects at once
  • Experience in B2B and/or the technology industry a must
  • Experience with salesforce and marketing automation systems, Salesforce CRM and Marketo preferred
  • Experience in corporate and field events
  • Strong production background
  • Budgeting experience and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Data driven and familiar with marketing metrics
  • Willingness to travel (about 30-40%) Post Pandemic
