Job Description:

The Global Director of Event Production will be responsible for ensuring creativity and joy are central to everything we make and put out into the industry ecosystem. The Global Director of Event Production will provide team leadership and oversight across some of TikTok most influential B2B event moments while also working to operationalize and rollout a robust slate of global initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with proven experience bringing virtual and live experiential activations to life. We’re looking for someone with a strong vision for event production and execution, team motivation, and a pulse on industry event trends. Key candidates will have deep knowledge of the B2B events landscape as a whole, and extensive knowledge of major tentpoles and industry events like CES, AdWeek, Cannes Lions, SxSW, and Newfronts

This position reports to the Global Director of Event Management & Production.


  • Responsible for overseeing all event production elements and associated team members for specific North America and Global Business Marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as Executive Producer for large tentpole programs.
  • Lead and mentor event production team, helping to define team structure, OKR’s, performance.
  • Event production team resourcing with oversight across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Supervise and manage all aspects of event production, including, but not limited to:
  • Partner closely with Global Director of Event Management & Production and internal Studio team to develop and recommend full event experience and execution
  • Organize and set-up projects for success from initial stages through execution
  • Oversee process for agency selection and execution oversight while creating a consistent approach for engaging with our agency partners
  • Responsible for overseeing budget development, management, tracking and reconciliation across all projects
  • Provide guidance on venue selection, recommendations and general management
  • Ownership of stage programming show flow & technical ROS
  • Oversee staffing plan and event space operations including event staff, technical crew and necessary production partners
  • Broadcast oversight across virtual & live events
  • Collaborate and build relationship with TikTok’s internal Environment, Health, and Safety teams to gather necessary event security plans, COIs, etc.
  • Oversees all event storage, inventory and storage space
  • Define and evolve production best-practices Global Event Guidelines and create templates and reuseable assets for event efficiencies and scale.
  • Bring innovative thinking and executional expertise to each event, including integrating the latest and greatest event trends and technology.
  • Build relationships with new and existing experiential agencies, fabrication teams and regional production vendors.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in an event-specific role.
  • Rich experience in executing a wide variety of large-budget experiences in entertainment and tech event spaces. Large-scale activations at consumer-facing festivals, trade shows, and industry events are a must.
  • Proven history of collaborating across multiple disciplines to meet campaign event goals (marketing, b2b, media, creative, social, etc.).
  • Ability to create decks, presentations, budgets, run-of-show documents, etc.
  • Strong skills developing and managing spreadsheets.
  • Ability to communicate clearly while operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven history leading a team with a focus on mentorship.
  • Strong technical knowledge in fabrication, signage and creative assets management, audio/visual elements, all through the lens of live and virtual experiential activations and programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agency experience, preferred.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $141000 – $230000 annually.
