Verndale has a great opportunity for an experienced Events Marketing Manager to join our growing and fast-moving team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the qualified candidate will be responsible for spearheading Verndale’s event marketing strategy, including but not limited to: planning Verndale’s participation in tradeshows, industry events, and technology partner events; attending events to represent Verndale and promote the company’s services; coordinating and running Verndale hosted events including in-person events like roundtables and outings and remote events like webinars; and securing speaking opportunities. The events marketing manager should have a successful track record of organizing attendance at trade shows and proving ROI through event marketing strategies and tactics.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead Verndale’s event and tradeshow strategy, including but not limited to: identifying key events, coordinating internal team training for attendees (elevator pitches, demos, etc.), handling pre- and post-show communications and event attendance
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to properly staff events
  • Work with Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and VP of Marketing to develop event strategy and objectives; drive initiatives to meet objectives based on lead generation, customer advocacy, and more.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts for large- and small-scale events
  • Drive marketing influenced pipeline and generate MQLs through onsite activations and support of the sales team
  • Analyze, track, and report on event ROI based on predetermined pipeline, revenue, and MQL metrics using CRM, email marketing, project management, and similar systems
  • Build relationships with Verndale customers and prospects on a one-to-one basis
  • Interact with key decision makers and account holders
  • Work with in-house designer to ensure event displays and materials accurately represent the Verndale brand
  • Order and track event inventory include collateral, giveaways, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of related marketing experience, ideally in event marketing, demand generation, or sales enablement
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to locations in the US to prepare for and attend events
  • Proven experience carrying out event marketing efforts, including trade show planning, attendance, and reporting
  • Experience partnering with sales team
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage resources, budgets, and onsite personnel as well as manage multiple projects at a time
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative as well as metrics driven
  • Self-confident with a dynamic personality
  • Experience promoting CMS/DXP/Commerce/PIM/MDM products or services a plus
