We are looking for a talented Events Manager who will report to the Director of Industry Events. As the Events Manager, you’ll assist with the planning and execution of in-person events including industry trade shows, company meetings, and proprietary events. You’ll oversee project plans and timelines, registration, housing, audio visual, VIP management and attendee acquisition. Sounds interesting? Keep reading…
Here’s What You’ll Do
- Maintain a rolling calendar of events and track critical information pertaining to each including goals, logistical details, budget, and ROI
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to coordinate pre-event, onsite, and post-event logistics
- Create all event-related planning documents including timeline and run of show for proprietary events and industry trade shows
- Have working relationships with but not limited to Corporate Marketing, Legal, Finance, Sales and third party vendors
- Manage event budget, invoicing, and schedule of payments
- Knowledge of space planning on a trade show floor, hotel and/or proprietary venues.
- Management and ordering of event giveaways
- Partner with sales teams and Field Marketing
- Solicit internal and external feedback and manage post-event program evaluations to ensure learnings, results, ROI, and areas of improvement are effectively captured
- Ability to travel to in-person events (approximately 4-5/year)
Here’s What You’ll Need
- 3-5 years of event experience and development including trade shows
- Strong energy and a passion for events
- Ability to prioritize and quickly adapt to change
- Outstanding experience in project management – highly organized, process and detail-oriented
- Comfort learning new tools and technical concepts quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully balance multiple projects simultaneously with multiple priorities, preferably in the tech industry
- Ambitious self-starter with hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves style – willing to dive in and do it yourself
($70,000/yr – $143,750/yr) Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. The compensation package for this position may also include equity, and benefits.
