Events at OpenSesame are a vital tool in generating business as well as increasing brand awareness. This position will manage both online and in-person events such as: webinars, virtual conferences, in-person trade show exhibitions, conferences, road shows, our annual user conference, as well as events held in conjunction with our partners and publishers. The position deals with a wide range of responsibilities that include: webinar and event theme building, seeking and securing speakers and sponsors, creating event programs and marketing campaigns to drive event registration and attendance, coordinating event logistics, timelines and tasks as necessary for event production and marketing.

The Event Marketing Manager must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines; and should have a passion for special event management and provide outstanding communication to OpenSesame staff, vendors,event attendees and volunteers.as lead for event planning, management, and production.

Performance Objectives:

  • Conduct a Content Audit and Develop a Plan – Within the first 30 days, you will conduct a content audit across all our channels and our competitor channels, along with auditing our business metrics to develop a gap analysis and plan that you will implement over the next 90 days. Internal content pieces such as sales materials will also be part of the audit and plan. Ongoing objectives are to create content that drives brand awareness, marketing qualified leads, and customer upsells.
  • Develop a Content Calendar – Within the first 30-45 days, you will develop a content calendar based on your content plan. The content plan will be used by the entire marketing team, to help drive awareness, leads, and upsells.
  • Develop Multi-Channel Campaigns – Work with your marketing partners to develop multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive marketing qualified leads. Within the first 30 days, you will quickly analyze key opportunities and quick wins to improve our marketing campaigns. Ongoing objectives are to create campaigns that deliver qualified leads and customer upsells.
  • Lend Expertise to Product Teams- Lend your copywriting expertise to our product team to ensure brand content and voice standards flow across all channels. Within the first 30-45 days, you will quickly analyze our current brand voice across all channels to uncover areas of opportunity. Ongoing objectives are to create a cohesive brand voice guideline that all teams can utilize.
