Job Description:
Working with teams and leaders across the firm, the Event Manager will plan and execute EAB partner events with an innovative approach, high attention to detail, and unparalleled level of service.The Events team is responsible annually for the management of 100+ in-house and off-site partner meetings, 600+ virtual events, firm hosted incentive trips, and firmwide internal events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning of in-house and off-site events; including detailing event specifications with preferred caterer, audio visual, managing on-site event experience, and serving as an on-site manager
- Manage EAB’s conference booth presence at industry conferences; working closely with the Marketing team to design and plan EAB’s booths, coordinating housing for EAB attendees, and working directly with industry associations and other vendors on logistics.
- Manage the A-to-Z meeting planning process – owning room blocks, meeting staff recruitment, supplies, vendor relationships, meeting communication, on-site management, etc.
- Collaborate with program teams in developing event strategy; serving as a consultant to the team by bringing forward innovative event ideas and ensuring objectives for each meeting are set and executed upon
- Work closely with web team, account management, marketing to develop a strategic communication plan for each event
- Monitor attendance reports to ensure capacity is maximized at each meeting; adjust meeting space or sleeping room blocks as necessary
- Report and distribute accurate data (meeting scores, attendee comments) to all relevant internal departments; follow up on any areas of concern
- Assist in the collection, review, and analysis of historical meeting data (scores, attendance, cost, etc.) to predict future trends.
- Track expenditures and ensure events are executed within projected dollar amounts, identifying opportunities for cost reductions while maintaining a superior event experience.
- Manage meeting staff to ensure superior service is provided to both internal and external constituencies
- Support other projects and support functions within the department
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- Proven success in managing events with external clients
- Demonstrated success delivering customer service both internally and externally
- Proven success in managing multi-vendor contracts
- Possesses strong attention to detail
- Direct staff management experience
- Proven creative problem solving skills
- Ability to oversee complex and multi-faceted processes and projects
