Job Description:

The role will report to Guy Carpenter’s VP Event Marketing, North America. This role will support Guy Carpenter’s event planning efforts in North America. The individual in this role will collaborate with all levels within the organization to set event strategy and help deliver world-class client and colleague experiences through in-person and digital platforms. She will have a wide network of industry, agency and vendor relationships to tap into when additional capabilities as needed. The ideal candidate will be a doer as well as a thinker, comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves and involving himself/herself in the detail required for high-quality execution. To be successful in the role, the candidate must have high intellect with a self-starting, resilient and attention to detail orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of an event from pre-planning, program development, speaker coordination, management of resource and promotional material needs, on-site execution including production/technical design, F&B, to post-event analysis and follow up
• Engage cross functional team as needed to ensure integration of all marketing/social/PR disciplines are incorporated to maximize event presence and reach
• Work with design and marketing teams to coordinate development of marketing and creative materials and assets
• Lead site and vendor selection for the best possible rates and terms
• Supervise staff at events, assign duties and provide general direction
• Conduct post-event data and strategic analysis to improve future events
• Perform virtual and webinar related activities as needed
• Negotiate and manage contracts and budgets
• Negotiate sponsorship contracts and identify cost savings where applicable – leveraging cross-enterprise relationships
• Contribute to development of meeting management/best practice policies for the parent company
• Oversee and manage merchandise program with preferred suppliers


• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
• Expert knowledge of online, in-person and hybrid events strategies and best practices
• Strong working knowledge of CVENT and Pardot required
• Ability to travel
