Job Description:

The Event Marketing Specialist will plan, manage and execute events in North America and the Asia Pacific regions. This individual will ensure communication between regional sites and headquarters; and will also be responsible for organizational and administrative tasks.

Your Tasks

  • Prepare event logistics – plan, manage and execute events attended by the organization
  • Ensure alignment between sales, business development and marketing departments
  • Train the sales and business development teams on booth set-up
  • Attend and manage sponsored key events
  • Plan and execute event promotions for all activities according to promotional planning using channels such asocial media, company website, email marketing, etc.
  • Keep team informed about upcoming events
  • Event reporting – deliver post event reports with data driven analysis including feedback, goal attainment and recommendations for future event improvements
  • Drive and deliver best practice documents and process improvements
  • Deliver new ideas and creative approaches to improve event experience
  • Provide communication updates to regional sites and corporate office
  • Attend relevant meetings at local site and provide status updates – ensure clear and timely communication to promote regional activities and correspondence
  • Alignment and collaboration with regional sales and business development teams in North America and Asia Pacific regions, site heads, President & COO, and additional management as needed for events
  • Prepare giveaway and exhibition materials for distribution and shipment
  • Manage SAP requisitions
  • Manage event budget for North America and Asia Pacific regions
  • Create standard work process for events and lead planning and follow up meetings
  • Budget planning and controlling – project management within matrix organization

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Event Management or related field
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in marketing or event management
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience working in life sciences, chemistry, bio-sciences or pharmaceutical industry a plus
  • Knowledge in SAP and Salesforce a plus
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively organize, and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
  • Ability to travel to events in North America and Asia Pacific
