Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Manager to manage highly-visible event components for AWS events. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role on the AWS Global Events Team, and we are looking for a team member with both event management and event marketing experience. This role is multi-faceted, working on different programs within the keynote program and across the portfolio of global events targeting developers and IT decision makers.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support the growing keynote program across several events, including AWS re:Invent, AWS re:Inforce, and AWS Global Summits
  • Effectively manage aspects of the program with multiple internal stakeholders, including venue and space planning, front of house and guest experience, translation, video, and livestream
  • Collaborate with the Senior Event Marketing Manager to build processes for repeatability and scalability
  • Manage across internal teams and vendors to coordinate deliverable dates and checkpoints with deliverable owners


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in event management and event marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or relevant field of study
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Highly-organized and detail-oriented, with ability to prioritize projects


  • Comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Not afraid to try new things, be quirky and think creatively. Strive to not only meet the bar set previously, but drive to raise it.
  • Written communication and verbal skills with the ability to gain alignment and problem-solve collaboratively
  • Quickly earn trust with key stakeholders, vendors, and other team members

  • Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables

  • Willing to travel to support the events (~up to 25% annually)
