We love the hospitality industry and the hospitality industry loves events. Therefore, we love events! Events are an integral part of Canary’s go-to-market strategy and drive a meaningful amount of pipeline. This role is part of the Marketing team at Canary and you will work closely with the Sales team in addition to working across the entire Canary team including leadership. We are growing extremely quickly and the day-to-day responsibilities will evolve as the company grows.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle event marketing, including event strategy, planning, logistics, marketing to prospects/attendees, event follow-up, and reporting
  • Build project plans for each event and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Execute event logistics, including pre-event and post-event marketing and coordination
  • Manage third parties, including event managers, booth contractors, etc.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support demand generation goals by leading events that will drive leads and build pipeline, including registration/attendance, engagement, customer growth, new business pipeline, etc.
  • Use best in class program technology, materials, systems, marketing, and event targeting to take each event to the next level

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of event marketing experience; driving demand to event programs at a B2B tech company is a plus
  • Detail-orientedStrong organization & project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with agreed-upon timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Google Suite, Excel, and related technology systems
  • Proactive and self-starter
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • BA/BS, ideally in marketing, communications, PR, or another elated field
  • Salesforce experience preferred (not required)
