Event Marketing Manager – Emerald

We are looking to grow the business and how we reach our target markets. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this hands-on role will be instrumental in the development and project management of marketing content, social media, and event deliverables in support of 15+ annual events. The Event Marketing Manager will be responsible for submitting, coordinating, and tracking all creative briefs to assigned Emerald graphic design/creative team, as well as outside vendors/agencies to ensure projects are completed on-time and on-budget. They must be able to anticipate project needs, juggle work priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with director of marketing, management and other customer facing teams to spearhead and manage marketing deliverables
  • Provide Sales and Recruiting Team Marketing support
  • Oversee event collateral; inspire new ideas/creativity in these deliverables
  • Work with event recruiting lead on social media posts as they relate to content and timing within each event cycle
  • Cultivate and integrate new ideas and campaigns that align with recruiting goals
  • Help to facilitate video strategy for testimonial and marketing videos
  • Email marketing utilizing email marketing platforms and Salesforce.com
  • Project management of 15+ Event Directories (print/digital) with marketing project coordinator, Emerald creative team, outside agency, and print vendor
  • Development and deployment of Event surveys as well as tabulating/reporting results post Event.
  • Manage, post, and track social media presence across all 15+ Event pages (currently LinkedIn) as it relates to annual social media growth plan
  • Manage post event resources at the conclusion of each event (photo, videos, and other content). Work with web consultant with acquiring links and then entering them into salesforce.com
  • Serve as key point of contact to outside marketing vendors (agencies, printers, videographers, and photographers)
  • Manage and track all assigned projects utilizing Smartsheets
  • Other Marketing Projects as determined

Qualifications

  • Relevant marketing experience, preferably in B2B events
  • Exceptional project management, planning, prioritization, organization, and multi-tasking skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communicator, able to interact professionally with all levels of staff, both internal and external, especially mid to senior management
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and perform under pressure
  • Proactive self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision and thrives in a fast-paced/collaborative environment
  • Experience managing social media platforms and content tools
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills
  • Highly motivated team player
  • Proven experience creating and deploying email marketing campaigns
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems a plus, but not required
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience (Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, Acrobat Pro) preferred
  • 5-10% travel required

Compensation & Benefits

Target Compensation: $78,000-80,000
