Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Manager to join the Events Marketing team at Preqin, the alternative assets industry’s leading source of data, intelligence, and solutions.

This role is based in our New York office. Reporting to the Head of Events, the Events Manager will work as part of a busy global events marketing team, taking responsibility for supporting our US events partnership program, supporting our hosted webinar program as well as offering assistance with in-person events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the events team to provide full support on all sponsored, in-person and digital events.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of corporate events, including conferences, client meetings, and webinars.
  • Serve as a strategic thinker, aligning events with the company’s objectives and contributing innovative ideas to elevate the overall event strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand event objectives and tailor each occasion to meet organizational/Business Unit goals.
  • Conduct thorough event planning, from venue selection and vendor management to budgeting and post-event evaluation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the overall event experience and exceed participant expectations.
  • Independently manage multiple projects, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.

Requirements

  • Experience in corporate events marketing and/or planning and delivery of webinars.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and provide effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and precision in event execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Enthusiastic, upbeat, and able to inspire a positive atmosphere within the team and at events.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure, as well as adapt to changing priorities positively and professionally.
