This role is an integral part of the Corporate Events Marketing team and is responsible for planning, executing, and elevating the customer experience at Poly sponsored tradeshow and events, both virtual and in-person. The goal of these activations is to increase awareness of Poly products and services as well as customer acquisition.

The event manager will assist in executing event strategy to support corporate objectives and accelerate business growth. An expertise in program and project management, superior problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and a passion for excellence in a fast-paced environment is required.

Your day to day

  • Develop integrated project plans which include internal kickoffs, booth and overall onsite experiences, pre- and post-event campaigns, staffing, on-site logistics, and internal alignment on goals
  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned on event objectives and plans
  • Design event landing pages, registration tools, and meeting booking tools
  • Develop event marketing campaigns and collaborate with demand generation team to drive brand awareness, audience engagement and pipeline
  • Ensure event logistics, services, and shipping are handled on time and within budget
  • Generate reports on post-event event metrics and pipeline
  • Negotiate agreements with outside providers and subcontractors to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service
  • Collaborate with integrated marketing and product marketing to align key objectives with messaging and product solutions
  • Effectively manage external agencies on event concept creation, planning, execution and budgets
  • Identify all aspects of event risk assessment, crisis management planning strategies and protocol
  • Work with global comms team to ensure that events are amplified across social media

What You Bring To The Team

  • 3+ years in events marketing experience in a technology environment; delivering live and virtual event programs
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills: will be required to coordinate closely with multiple teams that are globally dispersed
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and multitasking environment with numerous deadlines
  • Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Motivated self-starter with a bias for action and who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments
  • Works effectively and comfortably with leaders and stakeholders within the organization
  • Builds relationships with key industry influencers, secures speakers, and assists in the curation of event content
  • Experience with managing budgets and delivering measurable ROI on events of all types
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal – comfortable championing projects internally and addressing the executive level
  • Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally
  • Experience with event technology, registration, mobile, and virtual event platforms
  • Familiarity using Salesforce, Cvent, Microsoft Teams
