Job Description:

Event Strategy, Design and Innovation

  • Develop an understanding of the brand licensing market and support in the development and delivery of virtual and hybrid events and event-related products in line with the needs of the market and our customers
  • Ensure to design events that meet the needs of all customer groups from attendees through to exhibitors – create a brand value proposition and strategy that clearly explains why event participation will deliver ROI and return on time
  • Support the design and delivery of outstanding customer experience, creating innovative and interactive experiences at events – all within budget and/or forecasted P&L
  • Maintain event timelines and project plans
  • Develop executable creative ideas to engage customers including prototyping new ideas and innovative, agile approaches
  • Assist with the interpretation of customer insight based on conversations and data in order to evolve relevance and value of the event
  • With a focus on customer proposition, support event marketers in general review of event materials (including show emails deployed, websites, mailers at various stages of review, key messaging, press releases)
  • With a focus on customer proposition, support sales team in the creation of innovative sponsorship ideas and/or activations that can be commercialised within budget and/or forecasted P&L
  • Project manage show floor features and activations working in conjunction with the Event Director and operations team

Operational Management

  • Maintain event timelines and project plans, collate post-show reports from teams across all functions
  • Act as the central communication point between sales, operations, marketing & content with a complete understanding of the entire event plan
  • Work with the Sales Director & Event Director to manage the floorplan, maximizing revenue opportunities, customer experience and attendee flow. Lead the overall customer experience strategy
  • Support, where necessary, the annual financial planning and monthly forecasting process
  • Create mini budgets for activations and features, raising POs where necessary
  • Evaluate event content needs with VP Licensing, Event and Content Director and Licensing International
  • Alongside Event Director, act as the main liaison point with Event Operations, particularly around event set-up and operations budget
  • Alongside Event Director, brief in show features and activations to Event Operations
  • Alongside Event Director, act as the liaison between Event Operations and Sales if Sales require any bespoke event ideas – costed or specified

Skills Required

  • Demonstrable experience in the (large scale or B2B) events and/ or exhibition industry from any function – preference for those with a marketing background
  • Proven ability to handle and implement multiple projects with different stakeholders
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, adhering to given timelines with the ability to react flexibly if needed
  • Proven ability to build relationships across many different teams and functions
  • Interest in working with different cultures
  • Budget management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
