Job Description:


We are looking for an experienced event professional who is excited by the challenge of delivering innovative events across our urban campus in San Francisco. This position is part of our dynamic Hospitality and Events team and will assist in organizing and planning events across our urban campus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a wide scope of events across our urban campus to include our ‘Ohana Floors
  • Understand the Salesforce brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging
  • Manage multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative extremely fast paced environment
  • Manage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and work with cross-functional internal teams; creative services, interactive, marketing ops, which support direct efforts and collaborate closely to develop and successfully execute programs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and work across organizational boundaries, including a broad range of peers and executives
  • Provide onsite event support and other duties assigned by senior event manager as necessary
  • Manage and contribute towards creative problem solving
  • Create pre-event planning decks and post event summary decks for all stakeholders

Desired Skills/Experience

  • 7+ years successful event & project management experience planning large, complex events & programs (product launches, conferences, executive programs and trade shows). Preferably in an ever changing, fast-paced environment.
  • 2-3 years of people management experience
  • Proven effectiveness in vendor negotiations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to creatively negotiate demands
  • Results-oriented, customer driven, organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a strict deadline oriented environment
  • Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Solid understanding of event technology
  • Excellent project management skills and a desire to improve current processes
  • Deep comfort level with program analysis, measurement, reporting and pipeline impact.
  • You are collaborative, proactive, creative, entrepreneurial, have a healthy appetite for feedback, and thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work outside of traditional business hours and weekends as needed
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Slack, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is necessary
