POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Together Associate Director ensures excellent and successful execution of the Together

national gathering to fulfill Pulse’s mission to awaken culture to the reality of Jesus. This Event

Associate Director role will work alongside the Senior Director, Events & Operations, and is

responsible for providing leadership and direction for day-to-day event-related activities. This

includes project management and oversight, strategic planning, collaboration with key

department/initiative leaders, and strong attention to detail resulting in the excellent execution

of events.

  • Effective relationship and communication that is adaptive to all situations and fosters internal and external relationships, i.e., staff, partners, contractors
  • Experience and skills in budget development, budget management, and strategic planning
  • Skilled in fundraising for the work of evangelism

  • Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent oral and written skills
  • Experience working with executive leaders within an organization—executing logistical direction to fulfill Pulse’s vision and mission
  • Proficient with office systems, project management platforms, and ability to learn new systems if needed
  • Servant heart and attitude, serving as a team player and ready to help where needed
  • Minimum of 5 years of event direction experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Senior Director of Events & Operations to develop a plan and strategy to execute a successful campaign toward our national event, Together 2022 in Dallas, Texas at the Cotton Bowl
  • Ensure the vision of the executive leadership team is executed in the following areas; program, partnerships, fundraising, prayer, communications/marketing, volunteers, follow-up, and guest/artist management
  • Work alongside Nick Hall to develop a cohesive 2-day minute-by-minute program
  • Coordinate with key national prayer leaders to develop a national prayer strategy inclusive of monthly video conference calls, email campaigns, and assigned event-day intercessors to cover all aspects of Together ‘22 PULSE.ORG
  • Strategize with both the Creative & Communications Director’s to create a strategy around social media ads, billboards, transit ads, and public relations to promote Together ‘22
  • Oversee the volunteer coordinator to create a strategic plan inclusive of necessary roles, duties, and responsibilities
  • Strategize with the Follow-Up Director to build out a plan to support Gospel response during Together ‘22
  • Coordinate with Pulse’ external partner, Echo Productions, to create a plan to support the booking, transportation, hotels, onsite needs, etc. for guests/artists at Together ‘22
  • Support the Director of Ministry Partnerships with strategic planning and ideas to generate partnership opportunities for Together ‘22
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills which strengthen the team and drive effective event planning including casting vision from leadership that leads to event buy-in amongst the team
  • Communicate clear expectations and understanding of the event plan, deliverables, and timeline
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills in order to ensure the evangelistic purpose of events is clear to internal and external audiences
  • Bring superior execution to every assigned event around Together ‘22, working with our internal staff matrix system to create teams, assign responsibilities, and manage work direction
  • Throughout the event process, evaluate and review goals, then adjust strategies accordingly, for a successful outcome
  • Consistently hit goals and maintain timelines and create a weekly status report for the supervisor
  • Direct other events as assigned
