As an Event Creative Director, you will have the opportunity to unleash your creativity and bring events to life in a dynamic and exciting environment. Your strategic thinking, innovative ideas, and passion for excellence will be key to your success in this role. You’ll have the chance to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to launch successful event programs that contribute towards Microsoft’s business objectives and service the goals and needs of our customers.

You will play a key role that works with diverse Microsoft teams such as product marketing, engineering, public relations (PR), sales, executives and others. This role will be responsible for developing event experiences that amplify the One Microsoft story and drives business impact at the intersection of compelling storytelling, quality programming and peak moment experiences. As the leader of the creation and delivery of experiences, you’ll help Microsoft break through digital and physical barriers and create a platform to interact more meaningfully with our audiences.

The ESC portfolio covers events of various sizes and complexity, both in terms of audience size & composition, first party & third party, and delivery method. This role will lead throughout ideation, development, production, and execution phases of every project.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative vision and strategy that supports event initiatives, priorities, and objectives
  • Develop original programming angles based on data to drive project performance
  • Partner and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external agency partners, to launch successful event programs
  • Supervise project workflow, assign project resources, monitor deadlines and budgets
  • Oversee project work across event programs, leading creative excellence across all media, and driving creative innovation
  • Provides strategic and holistic thinking about event experiences
  • Able to lead creative work across the entire customer/audience journey
  • Is an innovator who thrives on leading teams to deliver memorable and unique creative executions
  • Leverages data, metrics, and research to create dynamic creative strategies and programming
  • Capable of building relationships with leaders at all levels

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in program management, digital content publishing and management, or experiential/event marketing
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a creative field, overseeing project work across creative programs, leading creative excellence across branding, environmental & experiential design, digital/web, broadcast media, both large- and small-scale keynote/content delivery, and excellent writing.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 9+ years experience in program management, digital content publishing and management, or experiential/event marketing
  • OR experience in writing
  • OR editing role
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years marketing experience in a large multinational organization or creative/media agency.
  • 5+ years of experience understanding or working alongside the production processes across all aspects of event planning and delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing creative vision and strategy that supports event initiatives, priorities, and objectives.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing original content programming angles based on data and research insights to drive project performance.
