Job Description:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Event Coordinator in New York, NY. Overview: We are seeking an Events Coordinator to support the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the global Tech team through ad hoc event management and administration of key logistics. The successful candidate will have the ability to engage internal departments as needed to effectively carry out this work, be adept at problem solving and multi-tasking under time sensitive conditions and have experience working for senior executives. Our ideal candidate has exceptional planning and organizational skills, with the demonstrated ability to support multiple concurrent projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand requirements for each event
  • Plan an event with attention to financial and time constraints
  • Coordinate with vendors to achieve desired results for an event or activity
  • Collaborate with project team and effectively report out on progress
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g.: tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
  • Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
  • As an Event Coordinator, you will be maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit summary reports
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations
  • Maintain meetings logs of team notes, action items and deliverables when required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of related administrative experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills, with proven multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to sift through data and create actionable insights based on findings
  • Experience in developing and maintaining excellent relationships, internally and externally
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A desire to learn about technology
  • A willingness to stay scrappy
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a team
