Job Description:

The Event Coordinator will provide support across some of TikTok most influential B2B event moments. The Event Coordinator will work with the Global Business Marketing Events Team in ensuring creativity and joy are central to everything we make and put out into the industry ecosystem.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with proven experience bringing live events and experiential activations to life. We’re looking for someone with a strong event background, thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, and takes pride in their communication & organizational skills.

Key candidates will ideally have familiarity with e-commerce and retail-focused events, as well as an ability to conceptualize live activations that support the growth of e-commerce.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support in the planning, production, and execution of live events
  • Bring knowledge and understanding of the experiential landscape to the planning process
  • Maintain annual events calendar and brainstorm ideas for new events/opportunities.
  • Manage project plans and ensure data is up-to-date (workback schedule, document management, agendas, meeting minutes, swag, travel & entertainment logistics).
  • Support in the management of project budgets, post-event budget reconciliation, and expense reconciliation.
  • Support in the management of cross-functional partners to streamline workflows. Responsibilities include calendar management, core team communications, regional communications.
  • Working knowledge of the SplashThat event management platform to support event page build, invitation deployment, and RSVP management.
  • Speaking and hosting management including talent suggestions, collation of presentations, speaker/talent briefings and accommodation requirements if applicable.
  • Thorough ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.
  • Passion and drive to take on responsibilities outside of core duties, learn about our regional/xfn partners, and create strong relationships with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience; Agency and ecommerce and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Rich experience in executing a wide variety of large-budget experiences in entertainment and tech event spaces. Large-scale activations at consumer-facing festivals, trade shows, and industry events are a must.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative team player in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent at problem solving, identifying causes and suggesting innovative solutions.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of creative goals and business objectives.
  • Energetic, friendly and self-motivated attitude.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard office software applications including Google Slides, Google Survey, Keynote, Word, PowerPoint. Preferred knowledge of SplashThat & other event software programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $64000 – $130000 annually.
